Dougal Shewan is the President/Director for V.W.R. Capital Corp., President of Dominion Lending Centres Valley Financial Specialists and a Managing Broker for Royal LePage Wolstencroft.
He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1978 and a Master of Business Administration in 1986. He is a member of the Real Estate Institute of British Columbia,
and the Real Estate Institute of Canada and holds the RI and FRI designations respectively.
Dougal is past Chair and serviced for six years on the Real Estate Council of British Columbia. The Real Estate Council of British Columbia is a regulatory agency established by the provincial government with
the mandate to protect the public interest by enforcing the licensing and licensee conduct requirements of the Real Estate Services Act. Dougal is a current director and Vice Chair of the Real Estate Errors and Omissions
Corporation of British Columbia.
Dougal is a member of the Mortgage Brokers Association of B.C. and the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board. He was the 2006 recipient of the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board John Armeneau Professional Award. Dougal also serves
as a Trustee for the United Churches of Langley.
Dougal is the President of the Shewan Foundation. The Shewan Foundation is a family operated charity providing donations to many worthy local charities.
